The Center for Study of Social Organization of a Firm at the Higher School of Economics was founded as part of the Department of Human Resources Management of the Faculty of Management on February 1st 2010.
The Director of the Center is Azer Efendiev, Doctor of Sciences (Philosophy), Professor, Head of the Department of Human Resources Management.
Key tasks of the Center's activity:
- Facilitate research of the social aspects of a firm's development.
- Use of results of theoretic and empirical research in the educational process; development of new courses and methodical materials on the basis of these results .
- Use of R&D results in other forms of educational activity, related to the problems of management, study of organizational behaviour, theory of organizations, HR management etc.
- Involvement of postgraduate and exceptional undergraduate students in research.
Focus of research at the Center
- System of interaction between employees and managers.
- Issues of power and participation of various staff groups in company management.
- Issues of development, changes in organizational structure, etc.
